Who am I?

Hi! I am Rajani Mani, part time writer, some time film maker, more than half of the time ‘kitchen queen’ and completely, wholly full time mother. That’s me and somewhat my life. Living in the middle east and being a vegetarian – what are my choices? I am still figuring that one out! Welcome to my virtual kitchen, and feel free to forage, and do leave your feedback ‘cos its always good to know!

When and why I started blogging?

It all started here. Adjusting to my new role as a full time mum, I was spending more and more time at home, and around this time I discovered the world of food blogs. Once I got started the lines started to blur, I blogged about what I cooked and I cooked for my blog, blogging about food was really about continuing with my writing and photography – a world that was moving further and further away. In short it kept me sane. Eat.Write.Think is the next level for me, I am more confident and comfortable about myself now, I love being a stay at home mum, and I now want to use the medium for sharing my real passion for food, the right kind of food.

What kind of stuff you’ll find around here?

Food that tells you stories, food that’s handed down by generations of grandmothers, happy food that revolves around conversations and laughter.

Do I like to share my space?

Are you kidding? I love it! I love having friends over, and I am sometimes joined here by my closest friend Nina and other contributers who share my passion for good food. So if you think you have a point to make, I welcome guest posts, contributors, and questions from readers. I don’t have all the answers, but willing to work on them till we get something that’s a keeper.
